Six programs and three schools at Old Dominion University were nationally recognized in the newly updated rankings for Best 研究生院s by U.S. 网站登录 & 世界报道.
ODU’s graduate programs and schools that earned the highest placement in the survey are the Strome College of Business part-time MBA program, the Darden College of Education and Professional Studies graduate programs and the Doctor of Nursing Program (DNP) in the School of Nursing.
The rankings for these programs are:
- No. 123 (tie) Best 研究生 Part-Time MBA 项目 (out of 269)
- No. 79 (tie) Best 研究生 Education 学校 项目 (out of 255)
- No. 64 (tie) Best Nursing 学校: Doctor of Nursing Practice (out of 156)
“What’s most striking about the latest U.S. 网站登录 & 世界报道 Best 研究生课程 rankings is that most of the the University’s colleges and schools are represented,” said Robert Wojtowicz, vice provost and dean of the graduate school. “This is an important indicator of both the quality and breadth of our graduate enterprise.”
Other graduate programs and schools ranked in the survey are:

- No. 36 (tie) Best Nursing-Anesthesia (CRNA) 研究生院s (out of 131)
- No. 126 (tie) Best Occupational Therapy 研究生课程 (out of 263)
- No. 99 (tie) Best Public Affairs 研究生课程 (out of 270)
- No. 140 (tie) Best 公共卫生 研究生院s (out of 209)
- No. 103 (tie) Best Speech-Language Pathology 研究生课程 (out of 280)
“We enroll more than 4,800 full- and part-time graduate students,” said Wojtowicz in a statement. “Our programs and schools are recognized nationally and internationally for quality and the extensive 研究, publications and creative activity of our acclaimed faculty.”
ODU’s 研究生院 offers 42 master's programs, 22 doctoral degrees and several certificates and licenses.
Designed to aid prospective graduate students in their selection process, the Best 研究生院s rankings evaluate programs in various categories including business, 教育, 护理与法律.
U.S. 网站登录 & 世界报道’s Best 研究生院s rankings are based on two types of data: expert opinion about program excellence and statistical indicators measuring the quality of faculty, 研究, students and their post-graduate outcomes.

This is just the most recent achievement for ODU. Last Fall, ODU was ranked as a top national university by U.S. 网站登录 & 世界报道. The University also received a Gold ranking as a 2024-25 军事 Friendly® School in May and was named a 2023 Best for Vets College by militaryfriendly.com. In June 2023, ODU ranked 58th internationally and fourth in the U.S. for reducing inequalities in The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings. This was the third consecutive year the University received this recognition.
